Born in Newark, New Jersey, I attended public schools in New Providence, New Jersey. After graduating from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania, magna cum laude, I attended Seton Hall University Law School. My first position as an attorney was with Horowitz, Bross and Shins in Newark, New Jersey where specialized in plaintiff’s personal injury litigation including workers’ compensation. The partnership of Linares and Coviello was established in Bloomfield, New Jersey in 1985. With my partner, Jose L. Linares (now a Federal Judge) we specialized in serious personal injury cases, medical malpractice, and civil rights cases. My first case where I obtained recovery of over one million dollars was a civil rights case/wrongful death case where we represented a women who dies while incarcerated in prison. I have been able to secure for my clients many verdicts and settlements that are over one million dollars. After settling an automobile/wrongful death case for a seventy year old man for $1.825 million and then recovering $2.3 million in a construction accident case I was selected to be A New Jersey Super Lawyer, a designation that has continued to the present time. In addition I have recovered numerous high awards for clients in workers’ compensation. I recently finished a trial where my client was awarded total disability. My entire staff is bilingual (Spanish). I was one of the first attorneys selected to be a court appointed arbitrator in the Essex County vicinage of the Superior Court. I am a member of the American, New Jersey, and Essex County Bar Associations.
